Caped Crusaders in a Box!

Today this box arrived at our door from Amazon...I ordered these when I ordered the vacuum for under $20.00 AND free shipping (because it was on the same order as the vacuum!) for three costumes that our son will love - FANTASTIC!

I wish I had the camera ready when Zach opened the box to find this trio of costumes inside. His eyes got as big as dinner plates and then he exclaimed, "Superman! Batman! Robin costumes for KIDS!! Help me open Mommy!!"

The costumes are  tunics. The front part is printed with the super hero shirt and the back side has the all important cape! There are also two foam masks and foam wrist guards for the Robin costume and foam boot covers for the Superman costume.  The best part is Zach can put these on himself to dress up and play super heros!

Of course he tried all three costumes on right away!

Gotta LOVE those smiles of Zach's! Now we just need to set up some play dates so Zach can play with other caped crusaders!

PACKERS WIN SUPER BOWL XLV!

THE GREEN BAY PACKERS DID IT!

THEY WON SUPER BOWL XLV!

I have an EXTREMELY HAPPY HUSBAND right now! He is estactic that the Packers won their fourth Super Bowl title. (If I have the number wrong here please correct me, I'm recalling from memory here.)  This is Zach and Elaina's first Packer Super Bowl win!

We spent the evening at home watching the game with Zach and Elaina. Although at the start of the game both kids were sleeping....

Well it's late and it is WAY past my bed time! I just wanted to post these photos tonight while everyone is still celebrating the Packers WIN!!

Outside with Daddy!

Daddy Dave and Zach went outside today to hang the bird feeder Zach made at school.  They hung the little birdfeeder on a pine tree in our back yard. Now we can watch from our window the birds eat from Zach's homemade bird feeder.

Zach and Dave also trekked through the snow into our grove of pines in our back yard to spread bird food for the birds.

As you can see the snow is rather deep in our back yard. Zach is light enough to be able to walk on top of the snow without sinking. A good thing because it would be up to his chest!

I'd love to say Zach is trying to catch snowflakes. But he is actually sticking out his tongue to lick the patio door glass to be funny. Silly boy!

Our Little Helper

Since the day Elaina and I came home from the hospital Zach has been such a great helper! 

On our very first day home Dave still needed to put together the pack and play we planned to set up in the family room. Dave put together the main play yard while Zach watched.  When Dave started putting together the bassinet add on Zach ran downstairs to the basement playroom to grab his tool box because he wanted to help daddy put Elaina's bed together.

Zach is very excited and interested in his baby sister. He enjoys helping mommy and daddy with her.  When she cries he rushes over to see if she is okay then runs to tell us that Elaina is crying.  He will turn on music to help soothe Elaina back to sleep. He runs and gets diapers for mommy for baby Elaina. He also helps open all the wonderful gifts people have sent to his baby sister too.

We love our little helper and are so happy he is loving his baby sister!
