What is Zach's favorite food right now?

Hands down without a doubt it is Peanut Butter and Jelly on a bun.  He would eat this at EVERY meal if he could.

 

What are Zach's favorite toys right now?

Anything to do with Super Heroes - especially: Batman & Robin, Superman, and Wonder Woman, Spiderman and Green Lantern

 

What about Buzz Lightyear?

Zach still likes Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Woody, Alien, Porkchop, Bullseye, Rex, Zurg and the rest of the cast of Toy Story but they are starting to take a bit of a backseat to Super Heros. Buzz is a cross between a space and hero toy so he is still front and present.

 

How is Zach with his baby sister, Elaina?

Zach is....enamored, captivated, charmed, crazy about, devoted, enchanted, fascinated, fond, and loving to his baby sister "Baby Elaina". He loves to play with her and be silly and make her laugh. If she is crying he tries to help calm her either by getting her pacie (pacifier/nook), gently rubbing her head or back and looks into her eyes and says, "It's Okay..." or he smiles and acts silly and she stops crying and smiles and giggles at him.

ZACH FAQs #16

It's been a LONG time since I've posted under Zach's FAQs but I thought I would add a few today.

1. Zach LOVES peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. He would eat them for every meal if we let him. He prefers a hamburger bun over regular bread but he'll still eat an entire 2-slices of bread sandwhich and sometimes TWO!
2. Zach's favorite TV show of the moment is Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney Jr. As Zach says, "Captain Hook is a bad guy!"
3. He still loves Buzz, Woody, Jessie & the gang from Toy Story. 
4. Super Heros Batman & Robin, Superman, Spiderman and Iron Man are favorites
5. Favorite toys of the moment: Batman Castle, Batman helicopter, Batman & Robin and all the BAD GUYS - Penguin, Joker, Riddler, and Freeze, Big Buzz and the cast of the Toy Story crew.
6. Every night while falling asleep Zach likes to listen to a Nursery Rhymes CD. He will sign along with the music but he doesn't like it when I sing with him. 
7. If you ask Zach for a beso he will give you one.
8. Friends he talks about all the time: Liv, Conner, George, and Ashley. (Carrie & Eric - Zach asks to see Liv all the time despite not seeing each other daily at school.)

Zach FAQs # 15

1. Zach's favorite word right now is, "Puppy."
2. When Zach is really tired he gets what we call the "sillies" where he runs around and acts silly.
3. Zach gives open mouthed wet kisses. It's one of my favorite things he does.
4. Zach also give big bear hugs too.
5. His best friends at playschool are Olivia ('Liv") and Sam
6. He loves cars, trains, tractors, really...anything with wheels.
7. Zach will point to his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, chin, head, elbow, bellybutton, feet, shoulders, knees, and toes.  He's been doing this for awhile but it's nice to document here.
8. Zach loves playing outside. He will take your hand and lead you to a door and say, "outside" when he wants to go outside and play.
9. He is very social and loves playing with other kids.
10. He likes the movie Cars and likes Thomas the Train.  

Zach FAQ # 14

1. Zach LOVES any toy with wheels!  Especially his Thomas the Trains and Matchbox/small cars.
   
2. Newer words: MINE, NO, Flower, Yellow, Book, and Tractor (which is for anything with wheels.  We're trying to teach him to differentiate between cars, trucks, trains [choo-choo] and tractors.
3. Dirt should be Zach's middle name.  He LOVES digging in the dirt or just rolling around in it.  We're in the process of converting his sandbox to have CLEAN sand so he's not as dirty.
   
4. Zach learned how to PEDAL a trike at daycare.  He loves bikes
5. Wonder Pets, The Backyardigans, Thomas the Train, Caillou, Sesame Street and the Good Night Show on PBS Sprout are some of Zach's TV favorites.
6. Run! Run! Running is Zach's preferred method of getting around.  But when he walks, he walks just like his dad.
   
7. Mom's favorite cute Zach moment of the past few weeks: Zach running in place when he gets really excited.  It's his own little dance.
   
8. Reading books is still one of Zach's favorite activities.  He likes to sit in your lap and having a book read to him.  He will now even let you read the story, instead of being all about flipping the pages.
9. Basketball is one of Zach and Daddy Dave's new activities.  They like shooting hoops in the driveway OR in the backyard using Zach's new toddler basketball hoop.
   

Zach FAQ # 13

It's been awhile since I've posted Zach FAQs...so here are a few more recent things:

1. Zach LOVES to help and copies things that we do.  One of his favorite things to mimic is SWEEPING.  Zach will take out the broom and dustpan and 'help' sweep the kitchen, the front entry way, even the carpet in the living room.

2. Zach still enjoys playing with the water in the toilet.  But he's also learned how to flush the toilet.  Perhaps this means he'll be interested in potty training sooner? *giggle*

3. Zach 'graduated' to the toddler room at Daycare on Monday, February 16, 2009 and is doing fantastic in his new class.  His 'best friends' are Sam and Olivia (aka Liv).  Mom and Dad are LOVING the price reduction in daycare costs - especially since we can now take advantage of the Target discount we receive at KinderCare too! Yippee!

4. Zach uses a fork and spoon to eat and he uses them pretty well.  He's very good at using the spoon while eating applesauce.

5. After getting tubes in his ears Zach can hear much better.  He is now talking even more!  He really likes making animal sounds - lion, monkey, elephant and dog.

6. Zach loves the TV channels Sprout and Noggin.  His favorite shows seem to be "Backyardigans" and "Wonder Pets" on Noggin and Sesame Street, the goodnight show, and Bob the Builder on Sprout.  He also likes Curious George on TPT (PBS).

7. Books are still one of Zach's favorite 'toys'. When he wants to read he'll climb into your lap with a book now.  He also will wait for you to finish reading before turning pages most of the time.

8. Zach LOVES all of his ride on toys he received for Christmas and rides at least one of them every day.

9. Zach will kick balls and play 'soccer' with you.  He also still loves throwing balls and actually has a pretty strong arm and good aim for his age.

10. There are days when Zach is too full of energy and I'll turn on the music and we'll run and dance around the living room to wear him out.

11. Zach will shake his head no at us and means it.  He's just as stubborn as his parents are.

12. Zach is much surer on his feet now and has started to climb. When he is excited or frustrated he'll run in place.

13. Zach can undress himself - shirts and socks. He can also brush his own hair and his own teeth. (we do still help him brush his hair and teeth after he's had his turn.)
